Tubular Drag Chain Conveyors

Alesol Equipment manufactures and supplies top quality Tubular Drag Chain Conveyors that are used in facilities handling powders, granulates, pre-mixed products, wastes, wet bulk solids, sticky materials or abrasive chemicals, minerals and hot materials such as ash. Quite often, they have been found capable of handling materials other systems can’t manage and have been the only solution possible. They are highly versatile in terms of design and can convey around bends, in any plane, underfloor, in tight spaces or at height. This makes them the preferred choice when the conveying route is complex. Some other tube conveyors can only have one single outlet or, in order to have more, the design required is complex and costly.
Our Tubular Drag Chain Conveyors can be configured to have as many inlets or outlets as required. The tubular nature of the conveyor means that product will not be affected by anything in the surrounding atmosphere. The round shape minimizes damage and friction issues.
Alesol’s Drag Chain design acts as a universal joint during product conveying and can turn in multiple directions and planes. It has a heavy duty construction. The Variable chain speed range of– 4 ft/min to 90 ft/min – contributes to minimal product degradation while maximizing throughput and equipment life. A unique feature of Alesol’s Drag Chain Conveyor design is the Automatic Continuous Chain Tensioner. This device continuously tensions the entire length of chain in the product conveying path, while maintaining zero tension in the return path. Using the Automatic Tensioner will minimize the wear and tear of the conveying discs, chain, and pipe. It compensates for the increase in chain tension by automatically adjusting for:

  • Friction,
  • Variation in product flow rates,
  • Changes in atmospheric and product temperature,
  • Conveying disc wear,
  • Chain wear, etc.
